About Us

OUR PHILOSOPHY.

Mbi is the Mbouda for seed, Mbouda is spoken in the Western part of Cameroon. Every child in the world dreams, but a dream without an opportunity is just a dream. Instead, a dream with opportunities becomes reality.

Our goal with Mbi-Music is to reach orphans and underprivileged children and give them opportunities to make their dreams a reality. Mbi-Music reaches underprivileged children and orphans of any age and offers them a 360-degree music programme. Through music, we give them opportunities that will allow them to become independent in realising their dreams.

OUR CORE VALUES.

  1. Integrity. We aim to better the lives of orphans and underprivilege children by giving them the tools they need to realise their dreams.
  2. Bond. We believe in strong connections among all the people involved in MBI-Music.
  3. Growth. We help orphans and underprivileged children grow themselves strong, skilled and independent.
  4. Enlightenment. Knowledge, freedom, kindness and happiness are the goals of Mbi-Music.

OUR CHARITY ORGANISATION.

Our international association, without  any religious or political purpose, aims to support disadvantaged children and teenagers, without any discrimination, through a 360° music programme through instruments, dance, singing, DJ production, etc.

It is based on the volunteering of supervisors, allowing social actions in the training and the supporting projects of these children and teenagers, using discovery workshops, courses, concerts, connections with professionals, the organisation of shows and performances, the loan of material, instruments…

Actions will be implemented to finance the programmes of the association, namely:

  • Membership fees.
  • Donations
  • Subsidies from the State, departments and municipalities.
  • All resources authorised by the laws and regulations in force and which are not generated by actions that infringe the fundamental principles of the association. The resources coming from activities validated by the board of directors such as (not limited to) sales of objects, clothes, organisation of shows, trips, sports and musical events, etc. will be authorised.

OUR ACTION PLAN.

  1. Location set up (environment and equipment). Areas to be  identified. Local people to support for first set up and  necessary preparation work (paperwork, logistic, etc.). * Fixed location is ideal, but in case it is not feasible volunteers/tutors can keep  the group together and be flexible on location hunting.
  2. Locate underprivileged children and orphans in need: unprivileged orphans of any age.  Local support is needed.
  3. Establish foundation and deep connections with people  who are going to represent us and/or volunteer (helpers at  any level, musicians, DJs, dancers, singers, producers, etc…).
  4. Training volunteers on Mbi-Music philosophy, core values and  fundamental pedagogical approach.

“EVERY DREAM HAS A PATH AND ALSO A GUIDE”

Meet Our Team

rOMUALD C. tCHINDA,
PRESIDENT & FOUNDER OF MBI-MUSIC

“As a kid, I always dreamt of becoming a big star in the entertainment industry. However with the lack of opportunities my dreams stayed dreams. Singing and dancing were my refuge from the sadness of losing my mother and father at a young age.

Today I have decided to found Mbi-Music to give opportunities and guidance to underprivileged children who are dreamers just like I was.

People always say that the world cannot be changed, but I believe that we do not lose anything by trying…”

"As a French mum of a great little girl coming from Haiti, I am sadly aware that all children don't have the same opportunities depending on where they are born... Music has always been important in my life, when I was young, I had the chance to learn how to play guitar, piano, the organ and I sang in a choir. I think music has the power to bring happiness and freedom to people, that is why I am involved in Mbi-Music."

"Giving back to society has been a part of my life since a young age. My first trip to Africa with my parents inspired me to take my volunteering a step further and so, after graduating from University, I moved to South Africa to work in a children's home for 8 months. There I experienced first hand the challenges underprivileged children face and I cannot wait to change this through Mbi-Music."
Titilayo Ameh-Hill
Head of Mental wellness Programmes

"As a mother, it pains me to see kids lack mental health services, which is why I am excited to join MBI Music, a charity that offers hope. With over 18 years as a Psychotherapist and Mental Health Advocate, my journey has spanned education, corporate, charities, and government. In schools, I've pioneered creative, neuroscience-based socio-emotional classes through music and dance, integrating them into curriculums and fostering safe spaces for kids to explore safety, empathy, and holistic well-being."

"I am an educator with over 9 years of experience, having taught in both the UK and internationally. My educational philosophy is grounded in promoting well-being, and I believe that music and dance are essential tools for teaching young children and enhancing their overall well-being. These mediums allow children to express emotions and thoughts that may be difficult to articulate verbally. My passion for creativity, education, and well-being has driven my interest in supporting the remarkable initiative known as Mbi-Music."
